Julieda is an experienced Non-Executive Director and international executive with over 30 years of leadership in compliance, audit, risk, and sustainable finance. Originally from Brazil and based in London for nearly a decade, she has led global teams across all regions – bringing a world-standard perspective to compliance, risk, ESG, and impact investing.
She currently serves on the board of Lacan Florestal, a leading Brazilian forestry company with over 190% FSC-certified plantations, and advises asset owners on sustainable investment strategies – including ESG integration, biodiversity-linked finance, and regulatory alignment. Julieda also contributes voluntarily to global development initiatives in Brazil and Africa.
Her 9 years of board experience include pension funds, a board seat at PREVIC (Brazil’s national pension fund supervisory authority), and Chair of the Audit Committee at Banco do Brasil Asset Management – the country’s largest asset manager, with over BRL 1.6tn (approx. USD 300bn) in assets under management.
She has also held senior public sector roles in Brazil and high-profile executive positions in international banking — including Group Head of ESG Compliance, Global Head of Compliance for Retail Banking and Insurance, and Head of Conduct for Europe at HSBC.
