... The report provides a detailed account of how the Montanaro Better World Fund drives positive change by investing exclusively in innovative, high-quality small and mid-cap companies – often the picks and shovels of the sustainability transition.

Every holding must derive at least 50 percent of its revenue from products or services aligned with one of six impact themes, which are mapped to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These include three 'Planet Themes' (environmental protection, green economy and innovative technologies) and three 'People Themes' (healthcare, nutrition and well-being). The fund avoids companies involved in harmful activities such as weapons, tobacco, gambling and fossil fuel exploration.

The report outlines the fund’s investment philosophy and the proprietary Impact360° process, which combines impact analysis, ESG due diligence and ongoing monitoring, with oversight from a dedicated impact team. It features key performance indicators used to measure impact and independent sustainability assessments. Readers will find real-world examples, case studies and thematic data that illustrate how portfolio companies contribute to improved environmental and social outcomes. Montanaro Asset Management also detail engagement activities, climate goals and how progress is tracked using both internal research and third-party tools.
