... Achieving net zero is well-acknowledged as the single biggest challenge of our generation. Private capital plays a crucial role in funding decarbonisation solutions, and renewables and nascent technologies can create a pathway to a low-emission global economy. But this is just one part of the puzzle: what about the emissions that cannot be removed? Even with radical innovation and achieving decarbonisation goals, there will always be some level of emissions that we cannot fully eradicate. That is why we need to talk about carbon offsetting.
