Triple bottom line (TBL) –is a concept that encourages companies to take into account three interconnected aspects: environmental, social and economic. It aims to expand the traditional focus on maximising profits to include the impact on the planet and people to evaluate a company`s performance. It seeks to generate value by considering social responsibility and environmental and financial sustainability over time. The TBL are often known as or related to the three Ps: planet, people, and prosperity.
