Hivos-Triodos Fonds secures €30mn from FMO and OeEB to invest in SMEs in emerging markets – press release – Triodos Investment Management

Triodos Investment Management announced a €30mn investment from the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO and its Austrian counterpart Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank (OeEB) in Hivos-Triodos Fonds.

The investment, which adds to the existing €65mn assets under management of Hivos-Triodos Fonds, is part of a 10-year funding agreement with FMO and OeEB, and will be used to accelerate sustainable social and economic development in developing countries, mainly by investing in local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The funding agreement was signed on 23 September 2025 by all four parties at the Future of Finance event in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
