Jupiter and Pensions for Purpose hosted a panel discussion examining the benefits of diverse workforces and the impact of equity and inclusion on performance outcomes. Karen Shackleton, Founder of Pensions for Purpose, moderated the discussion and encouraged the audience to challenge the benefits of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I). While no direct opposition was voiced, there were questions over whether asset managers’ approach to engagement may be impacted by US companies being less forthcoming and transparent on DE&I data.

This event followed independent Impact Lens research, sponsored by Jupiter in 2024, to consider how asset owners integrate DE&I into fund analysis.

In this follow-up blog, Pippa covers:

  • Why diversity matters.
  • The Trump and DE&I backlash.
  • Using data to make informed decisions.
  • Vital takeaways.
  • What Jupiter aims to achieve as a Pensions for Purpose Ecosystems Partner.
