Piers brings over thirty-five years of industry experience in Investment Banking, Investment Consultancy and latterly Asset Management at Baillie Gifford. There he has been involved in a number of responsible investment products, including climate focussed and impact strategies, for the LGPS and many other responsible institutional investors. Piers currently advises the LGPS Scheme Advisory Board through its Responsible Investment Advisory Group. He has advised the FCA on a number of occasions.

Piers is passionate about working with asset owners to design and implement long-term investment strategies that can deliver from a returns perspective as well as contribute to solving the environmental and societal issues we are all too familiar with.

Piers holds degrees from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Essex and is an elected member of the Expert Witness Institute.
